After months of being cooped up, the merry month of May offers huge potential for UK-bound travellers.
There are so many possibilities to consider that this week's Read More introduces a couple of outstanding arts festivals as travel less, see more hubs for an imaginative short stack of side trips. They range from the art treasures and exquisite wood carvings at 17th century Petworth House, the Earl Collectors Garden at 11th century Arundel Castle and the home of the Surrealists at Farley's Farm to the royal gardens at Highgrove, the stunning magnificence of Wells Cathedral and the award-winning garden at Iford Manor. Variety like this IS the spice of life!
The outstanding literary festivals at Charleston and at Hay on Wye both take place during May as does Crimefest in Bristol and if your equestrian contacts are into Three Day Eventing, the Badminton Horse Trials will tick all their boxes!
Next week, I'll be highlighting the Chelsea Flower Show along with several more bright ideas for your green-fingered customers.
