Welcome |
Although our lives have been thrown into complete disarray by the COVID-19 pandemic, take a few moments to be uplifted by some of the many travel experiences that will remain unchanged here in the UK.
Use the videos in this and the previous two editions of my Inside Track to build your own unique library that will cheer and encourage you and your anglophile clients in the short term and help you to build for them some really interesting itineraries when things return to a new normality. There are plenty more videos still to come.

Doc Martin, Poldark and King Arthur |
When you think the time is right, let’s start a conversation about a customised FIT or small group trip to Cornwall. Let’s blend together the myths and legends of King Arthur, on location Doc Martin and Poldark visits, some stunning early spring gardens and at least one Cornish Cream Tea. I’m ready when you are! |

Britain’s Finest Ornamental Gardens |
Instead of joining the mobile carpark heading into central London and waiting for their rooms to be ready, breakfast at the Savill Gardens sets any UK tour off to a much better start. Check out the video because this is what your clients might prefer to be looking at and enjoying on that first morning.

Cathedrals Ancient and Modern |
Regular readers will recognise my Travel Less See More mantra and this time, I’m using it to link together three great cathedrals as the framework for a tour. Based in the Cotswolds, I propose Christ Church Oxford and Gloucester in conjunction with this inspirational video of Coventry Cathedral, a great place for Choral Evensong. |

Walkin’ The Dog Part 2 |
As many of you followed Yorkie last week as he trotted around the ancient Viking city, join him this week as he takes a railway journey and visits York’s National Railway Museum, the largest in the world. I strongly recommend English Afternoon Tea in the sumptuous surroundings of the Countess of York railway carriage.

A Palace For All Seasons |
Blenheim Palace is a high priority visit for first and second-time visitors. Because there’s so much to see, a return is often requested for those who have been before. My personal recommendation is to schedule between 4-5 hours for a visit plus lunch and for small groups to include one of their special tours. |

A Welcome To Scotland |
As I put together a wide range of customised tours to Scotland, use this video as a scene-setter for next week’s focus on a range of bright ideas from north of Hadrian’s Wall. It will inspire you as I look at Scotch Whisky, the Highland Games, the Year of Coasts and Waters and more besides.
