Welcome |
|
To mark National Travel Advisor Day, I want to thank you for standing firm, no matter what is thrown at you. Your commitment to your customers and the job you do for them spans many years and predates the Libyan bombing (1986), Pan Am 103/Lockerbie (1988), the 1990 Gulf War, Foot and Mouth and 9/11 (both in 2001) and the 2007/2008 Financial Crisis.
Each one brought significant disruption to our industry and you will again play your part when the renaissance begins. For our part, we stayed committed to you as well.
Enjoy today's six videos!

On Location In Clovelly |
|
On Saturday, I enjoyed watching the movie, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society (I’m great fan of the actor Tom Courtney). You may not know this but much of it was actually filmed in the steeply cobbled streets of the North Devon, cliffhanging, fishing village of Clovelly. Get to know it better with Jana Edwards.

Deep Roots |
|
Opening as part of the National Garden Scheme, Ocklynge Manor is an informal, tranquil garden. Architectural and unusual trees create structure in the garden, whilst rhododendrons, azaleas and acers complement the pale pink walls of the Georgian house – once the former home of Mabel Lucie Attwell, who illustrated Peter Pan and Wendy in the 1930s

An Artist’s Village |
|
The Watts Gallery is a wonderful Arts & Crafts gem, between London and Southampton. The former home of the great Victorian artist G F Watts, he was the first British painter to have a solo exhibition at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in 1884. Known as England’s Michelangelo, he influenced Rossetti, Picasso and former President Obama.
