A couple of weeks ago, I ran a Britain Insider column on the less well-known east of England county of Suffolk and was very pleased to see how many regular readers took a much closer look at a corner of the country that continues to inspire great artists, writers, poets and musicians. It's now clearly firing the imaginations of some of my Inside Track travel advisors!
Well, here's another in the form of the county of Dorset which has a history that can be traced back to the time of the dinosaurs of the Jurassic period, that's inspired great writers like Thomas Hardy and which among many of its fine gardens has no fewer than four former winners of the prestigious Historic Houses/Christies Garden of the Year Award.
