Welcome |
|
I know you’re inundated with emails but with so many of you keeping in touch through my Inside Track (and clicking through to the individual stories) I really appreciate the high level of interest.
This week’s edition starts with a message from the Patron of the National Garden Scheme, His Royal Highness The Prince Of Wales. Including a visit to one of them always adds something special to any itinerary.
The remaining stories will add to your knowledge of the Cotswolds which I know well as I lived there for a number of years.

The National Garden Scheme In The Cotswolds |
|
The Cotswolds is a large expanse of gently sloping, sheep clad green hills, wooded valleys and ancient, picturesque honey-coloured stone towns and villages. It’s where many of the gardens that open as part of the National Garden Scheme are simply quite outstanding. Listen to the video message from its Patron, His Royal Highness The Prince Of Wales. |

Castles In The Cotswolds |
|
Opening with the Changing of the Guard at Windsor Castle, be thrilled by this travel less, see more 4 nighter which includes a rich variety of living history experiences at five of England’s most historic castles. You won’t find this in any tour operator’s brochures, and it doubles up very nicely as a pre or post cruise extension.

Celebrating 900 Years |
|
Tewkesbury Abbey is world-renowned for being one of the UK’s greatest examples of medieval architecture. Its striking Norman tower has dominated the town’s skyline for nearly 900 years and today much of the Abbey remains unchanged from the 12th century. Their 5pm service of Choral Evensong at 5pm will bring any day to a memorable close.

The Inspiration Of William Morris |
|
The Cotswolds became an important centre for the Arts and Crafts Movement in the early 20th century when craftsmen and women followed in William Morris’ footsteps and settled in villages throughout the region. He left an indelible mark on the world of art and design and from a Cheltenham base, this tour brings that story to life.
