Welcome |
For the past couple of months, I’ve been highlighting some of the annual events and festivals you could have offered your clients in 2020. The key word here is ANNUAL because almost every one of them will be available in 2021.
Today, I’ve highlighted the Edinburgh Festival and an early September Whisky Festival. The rest of the ‘menu’ introduces a Beatles shore excursion and a London/Liverpool programme, three internationally renowned equestrian events, a motoring enthusiasts American Day at Brooklands and a proud admission that I’m a Doc Martin fan!
Tell me what fires your imagination.

The Edinburgh Festival |
As this annual event comes to a close, let’s talk about using it as the foundation for a 2021 Scotland tour that includes the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo (6th-28th August) and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe (6th-30th August). Time it for the latter part of the month and include the Edinburgh International Book Festival (15th-31st August). |

The Spirit of Speyside |
Why not schedule the visit for the final days of the Edinburgh Festival so that I can extend your visit to include visits to Scone Palace, Glamis and the other great castles along Royal Deeside? Spend 3rd-4th September 2021 at the Spirit of Speyside Distilled Festival and meet award-winning whisky distillers, brewers, gin crafters and food producers.

International Beatles Week, Liverpool |
As this annual event has just ended, check out this London and Liverpool Beatles tour. For cruise clients, my Liverpool shore excursion includes early entry into The Beatles Story and an exclusive audience with Roag Best (brother to Pete Best, the Beatles’ original drummer) at the Casbah Coffee Club (the "true birthplace" of the Beatles).

The Burghley Horse Trials |
Normally this week, I would have headed for Burghley House, near Stamford for their annual horse trials. As you will have clients with a serious interest in horse riding, let’s exchange some emails and offer them the Badminton Horse Trials (5th-9th May), the Gatcombe Festival of Eventing (6th-8th August) or the Burghley Horse Trials (1st-5th September). |

American Day At Brooklands |
Annually, in the first week of September, Brooklands, the birthplace of British motorsport and aviation devotes a day to the stars and stripes and welcomes a host of American cars and motorbikes. Expect a feast of chrome and colour with some gleaming Dodge, Chryslers, Mustangs, Hot Rods and more in and around the Paddock and Motoring Village.

And Yes, I’m a Doc Martin Fan |
For the past few weeks, one of the ITV channels has been running entertaining double episodes of Doc Martin. I like the characters (Doctor Ellingham could lighten up a bit!) and the scenery makes me wish I was there. If this strikes a chord, let me turn TV fiction into touchable reality for you and your clients.
