A Treasure-Filled Palace, WWII Codebreakers, Handmade Silk And A Pint Of Hooky |
|
|
Last week, I introduced you to five English Cathedrals who were prize winners in Visit England's Visitor Attractions Accolades programme. This week, six more attractions, largely in south of England have caught my eye.
Two of the Gold Award winners were Blenheim Palace and the nearby Hook Norton Brewery in the Cotswolds. Bletchley Park and the Whitchurch Silk Mill won awards for 'The Best Told Stories' while Chawton House and its Jane Austen associations and the Shepherd Neame Brewery in Kent were winners in the 'Hidden Gem' category.
Blenheim Palace is an obvious must-see choice but if you take a moment to study the Read More link below, it comes with a word of advice. If you're going to do it properly, you need to allocate a full day for any visit. Anything less will leave your customers feeling short changed.
The world of the WWII Codebreakers at Bletchley Park is a 45-minute train ride north of London and the Hook Norton Brewery makes a valuable contribution to a 3-4-night Cotswolds tour. The Whitchurch Silk Mill and Chawton House fit together for cruises sailing in or out of Southampton and with itineraries based in the Salisbury and Winchester area. Similarly, the Shepherd Neame Brewery fits programmes travelling in and around the south east county of Kent.
Read on and discover more new ways of looking at your old friend Britain. |
