Two years ago today, in addition to celebrating my daughter's birthday (!), the UK went into lockdown and Covid-19 stalled transatlantic travel. In the face of such massive uncertainty, I decided to keep going with my weekly Inside Track and I want to thank the hundreds of travel advisors who have kept my spirits up by keeping an eye on my 2pm GMT every Wednesday, upbeat meanderings even if they were unable to put any of my suggestions into practice.
I also kept going with my Britain Insider column every Wednesday for the Insider Travel Report (see this week's issue with the left hand Read More) and my fortnightly articles for Travel Research Online (see right hand Read More for the colourful back issues)
As you will see from this week's Britain Insider review of the recent Excursions Trade Show in London, the pandemic hasn't damaged or destroyed our historic sites, magnificent cathedrals, great castles and treasure filled stately homes or prevented Mother Nature from producing our spectacular gardens, both large and small.
Please keep my forty years of hard-earned knowledge, experience and connections in mind when the UK appears on your radar.
Onwards and upwards. |
