You may not have spotted them before but at the bottom of my Inside Track are 8 very useful words

THINK BRITAIN, THINK PAULL, YOUR PERSONAL TRAVEL ADVISOR

They’ve been there since the first edition, 264 weeks ago and I’m very pleased that so many of you are putting me through my paces.  The link in my top story will reveal the huge resource I’ve created to help you to offer substantially more to your UK-bound clients.

My Cotswolds Collection offers 10 good reasons for using this region as a hub (11 when I add the next story about Gin Distilleries) and the words Portmeirion, Spode and Royal Worcester will resonate with shoppers looking for bargains in the World Capital of Ceramics.  A new tour idea brings together Sandringham, Holkham Hall, Houghton Hall and an amazing Hat Shop in a stately home and gardens tour on the North Norfolk coast.

Finally, I’ve given a heads up for privately owned Hole Park, an excellent partner for an early spring garden tour that includes Pashley Manor, Sissinghurst Castle and Great Dixter.

Your Own Aladdin's Cave

I’m impressed and inspired by the large number of readers who keep a regular eye on my Inside Track especially as you’re swamped by a daily deluge of must do this, must do that emails.  If you’ve not done so already, use this link for a closer look at the Aladdin’s Cave of bright ideas I’ve created for you on my website.

Your Own Cotswolds Collection

Regular readers will be familiar with my frequently quoted mantra, TRAVEL LESS, SEE MORE.  My patient persistence is being rewarded as more and more of you request itineraries with 3-4 nights in one location before heading into London.  This portfolio of 10 imaginative conversation-starting tours will tick a lot of boxes for clients cruising or flying in/out of the UK.

Just Apply Your ImaGINation

I recently received an intoxicating press release from the internationally renowned Bombay Sapphire distillery just north of Southampton.  Intrigued and responding to several recently received requests for the Cotswolds, I had a look at what that lovely corner of England had to offer, and I’ve found 7 of them!  Watch this space for a gin-infused stately homes and gardens tour.

With the four Great British Brands of Portmeirion, Spode, Royal Worcester and Pimpernel in one store, a visit to one of Portmeirion’s factory shops in Stoke-on-Trent is a must! They all offer wonderful gifts and everything you need for the dinner table. With 30% off the retail price and great offers throughout the year, discerning shoppers will be delighted with what’s in store.

Palladian Elegance

Magnificent, Palladian Holkham Hall is a joy to discover.  It’s full of treasures in every room, from incredible architecture and stunning paintings by Rubens, Van Dyck, Poussin and Gainsborough, to collections of original furniture, tapestries and classical statuary. Add Her Majesty The Queen’s retreat at Sandringham, the award-winning gardens at Houghton Hall and the Burnham Market Hat Shop and you’re onto a winner.

Bluebell Spectacular

Located close to the fabulous gardens at Pashley Manor, Sissinghurst Castle and Great Dixter, four generations of the Barham family have turned Hole Park into a wonderful 16-acre garden of immaculately trimmed yew hedges in a magical parkland. Between 15th April and 10th May, it hosts an annual Bluebell Spectacular event, generally regarded as one of the best places in Britain to see bluebells.
