A new Doc Martin/Poldark tour for independent travellers (and small groups) tops the bill this week.  Also available as a pre or post Southampton cruise extension, this 4 nighter is a potential best seller.

My Cotswolds-based Tea Rooms and Treasure Houses tour continues to attract healthy interest as readers offer it to small groups of 6-8 senior ladies.  Beginning with Sunday Morning Worship in St George’s Chapel, Windsor, this 4 nights Cotswolds, 2-3 nights London trip merits a much closer look.

To further expand your UK product knowledge, take the link to a recent Travel Research Online article I wrote on new sources of Britain-bound business.  I know you’re very busy but it’s worth a closer look at it highlights niche markets where you’ll have contacts who will appreciate a customised tour proposal.  You plus Me equals a good result.

I’ve closed with a new exhibition at Bletchley Park, the top-secret home of WWII codebreakers and some quaffable ideas for a Cotswolds-based pub tour which also doubles as a pre or post cruise add-on.

In Doc Martin and Poldark's Footsteps

If you and some of your customers are fans of these popular TV shows, ask me for details of this customised, 4-night Cornwall-based itinerary.  Adaptable to suit a pre or post Southampton cruise, this Monday to Friday, driver guided On Location tour will turn fiction into reality and reveal quite a few more pleasant surprises in this far south west corner of England.

Tea Rooms and Treasure Houses

This Cotswolds and London tour is attracting a lot of interest as a growing number of Inside Track readers suggest this slower-goers idea to 6-8 of their senior ladies.  Using just one Cotswolds hotel as a base for leisurely paced day trips, I’ve just created a version that uses Father Brown locations as the basis for one of the full day tours.

Sources of High Yield Business

I know selling cruises may be your top priority but spare me 5 minutes and check out these sources of valuable business ON YOUR DOORSTEP.  As you scroll through the list, well known contact names will jump off the page.  Jot them down and then ask me for a customised itinerary, not in any tour operator’s brochure that will knock their socks off!

D-Day: Interception, Intelligence, Invasion

Spring 2019, Bletchley Park, home of the World War Two Codebreakers opens an exciting new exhibition, D-Day: Interception, Intelligence, Invasion.  To coincide with the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings this major exhibition, housed in the newly restored Teleprinter Building will include a pre-show display and immersive film, and examines the role Bletchley Park's vital intelligence played in the D-Day operation.

Oxford Pub Tours

This new tour is a modern twist on a conventional walking tour and a great way to explore the City of Oxford. Ideal for anyone interested in not only the rich heritage of the City of Dreaming Spires but also that of the traditional inns and taverns across the City with the bonus of being able to enjoy ‘A Pint’ at the end.

Mine's a Pint of Speckled Hen

Talking of Pub Tours, check out my Cotswolds-based programme.  For the beer fans, I’ve included at least 4 brewery visits but with so much to work with in the area, I’ve created some very appealing alternatives for those who are less interested. It’s a great starting point for a tailor-made spring trip or as a pre or post cruise extension.
