Five of our magnificent cathedrals have very recently been awarded accolades in the Visit England 2021-22 Visitor Attraction Awards. Lichfield, Salisbury and St Albans have received a Visit England 2021-22 Visitor Attraction Accolade for Best Told Story (Midlands, Southwest and East of England), Coventry was hailed for its Welcome and Liverpool was awarded Gold. The five cathedrals received their awards alongside 93 other attractions across the country, recognised for the outstanding experiences they provide to visitors in categories that included Welcome, Best Told Story, Quality Food & Drink, Hidden Gem and Gold for overall winners.
Use the Read More and take a closer look at each of the short profiles because it is quite clear that with so much history to discover, you should set aside four hours for a visit (best in the afternoon) which includes a two-hour tour, English Afternoon Tea in the Refectory (and boy, do they offer some wonderful home-made cakes!) and stay on the unforgettable service of Choral Evensong. Get there early and sit in the Quire where sung services take place. Juggling with the itinerary, I can also ensure that your clients attend Sunday Morning Worship, an experience that will linger in their memory for a very long time. |
