I recently received a summary of flower shows staged by the Royal Horticultural Society which revealed that they organise several more than the Chelsea Flower Show in London. It set me thinking about a longer list of significant horticultural events that take place across the country from March to September which can be tweaked to meet the demands of gardening clubs, botanical gardens, rose and other specialist societies including Flower Arrangers. The National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies will be staging their National Show in the spectacular surroundings of Gloucester Cathedral in May 2023. If this is an area of interest, we should be talking about a variation on a Girls Getaway to the Cotswolds and London…
For more broadly based itineraries that include visits to prehistoric sites, castles, stately homes, literary and On Location shrines and other must-see attractions, offering a day at a flower show could be a very attractive proposition.
To set the ball rolling, use the Read More to see five ideas that could be of interest for the mid-March-mid-May period. |
