Before I say anything else, with many of my readers being based in Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas, you have been in my thoughts and prayers for the past week and hope that you've managed to avoid the worst of the havoc created by Hurricane Ian.
Inspired by the dates for next year's Royal Horticultural Societies (RHS) major flower shows, last week's column proposed some imaginative tour ideas for early spring 2023. If you missed them, you'll find them using the left hand Read More.
I'm now adding five more (see the right hand Read More) which can either be the main focus for a garden club tour or as an important element within a more broadly based programme that will appeal to a wider audience. They include the iconic RHS Chelsea Flower Show (end of May), the Blenheim Palace Flower Show (late June), the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival (early July), the Scottish Garden Show (dates tbc) and a mix and match medley that includes Downton Abbey, the Jane Austen Festival and the RHS Flower Show at Wisley, their flagship garden.
If you're looking for some exciting conversation-starting ideas for clients who may not have been to Britain for upward of three or more years, you've just found them! |
